Services Held March 19 For Edward Westphal

LARRABEE, Iowa -Edward A. Westphal, 70, Larrabee, died at an Englewood, Colo., hospital March 15 after a lengthy illness. Services were held at 2 p.m., March 19 in the United Methodist Church at Sutherland, Iowa. The Rev. William Rieckhoff officiated. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery at Paullina.

Mr. Westphal was born Dec. 5, 1904, in O'Brien County. He married Elsie Marie Holch [sic] March 2, 1928, in Woodbury County. He farmed in the Paullina area until he retired and moved to Larrabee several years ago.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Ardelle) Rlchter of Granville; three sons, Charles of Larrabee, Larry of Cypress, Calif., and Lonnie of Elizabeth, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Struve of Hartley and Mrs. Emma Luhrs of Hartley; three brothers, John of Waterloo, August of Paullina and William of Hartley; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
