JOHN PIPPERT

Last rites were held Sunday afternoon, September 20th at __Church, Hartley, for John Pippert who passed away suddenly Thursday morning, September 27th, from heart failure.

John Pippert, son of Herman and Elizabeth Brown Pippert, was born at Muscatine, Ia., on January 20th, 1865. As a child he was baptized and was received into the Christian church. He received his education in the schools at Nora Springs, Iowa.

On March 2nd, 1886, John Pippert and Lenore Fritzel were united in the holy bonds of matrimony in Grundy County, Iowa. They first lived in Harden County, then moved to Mason City where they lived six years before moving to O'Brien county. For seventeen years they lived northeast of Hartley and then moved to their own farm southwest of town where they lived until they retired and moved to Hartley in the new home which they built and where they have lived ever since.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Pippert were members of Trinity Church and were active in church departments. Mr. Pippert was a member of the Brotherhood.

John Pippert is survived by his widow and seven children. Irvin of Appleton, Minn., Mrs. Myrtle Ehlers of Danvenport, Ia., Mrs. Flossie Schubert of Spring Valley, Minn, __ and Floyd and Mrs. Lutrella Bobzien of Hartley.
