REAH D. RUST, 101, of Port Charlotte, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006.

Born Feb. 16, 1905, near Allendorf, Iowa, she was the daughter of Bertus and Reika Geertsma Sapp. She married Louis Rust Jan. 14, 1929, in Worthington. He died Nov. 14, 1980.

At an early age, she moved with her family to southwest Minnesota. She was educated in the Reading and Rushmore areas. After marriage, they farmed near Reading and Bigelow. In 1965, they retired to Sheldon, Iowa. She then lived in LeMars and Sioux City, Iowa, and then Port Charlotte.

Surviving are one daughter, Lavelle (A.C. Gerald) Olsen, Port Charlotte; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon.

Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Port Charlotte, and Nelson-Berger Funeral Home, Sioux City, are in charge of arrangements.
