MR. LOUIE RUWE

Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at the Foley Funeral home for Louie Ruwe who passed away suddenly at the Wagner Rest Home on Wednesday afternoon, January 2. At the time of his death he was 82 years and 6 months old.

Reverend R. A. Roloff of the local Methodist church officiated. Pallbearers were Raymond Riessen, Will Frick, Emil Dietz, Bill Selken, Harry Stoterau and John Stoterau. Interment was at the Hartley cemetery beside his wife who died in 1920.

Louie Ruwe was born June 20, 1874, at Davenport, Iowa, where he spent his youth.

In 1904 he married Miss Annie Voss. No children were born to this union.

He was in the garage business at Moneta until his wife died in 1920, after which time he worked on various farms in the Hartley and Lake Park vicinities. In 1947 he moved to Clear Lake, S. D., to make his home with his sister, the late Mrs. George Bader, where he continued to make his home until August 19, 1955 — since which time he has made his home at the Wagner Rest Home.

Out of town relatives attend­ing the services were Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Bader, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Bader and daughter, Marilyn, John Bader and daugh­ter, Joyce, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Prehn, all of Clear Lake; Mrs. Harry Schnarr of Brandt; Mr. and Mrs. Grover Ruwe, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Balhorn and son, Waldo, and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Wehmeyer, all of Lake Park.

Surviving Mr. Ruwe is one sister, Miss Rica Ruwe, of Davenport, Iowa.

His wife, 3 sisters and 7 brothers preceded him in death.
