OBITUARY
Mrs. Louis Ruwe, Moneta, Iowa.

Mrs. Annie Ruwe nee Vass [sic throughout] was born in Wilton, Muscatine county, Iowa, Feb. 15, 1873, [sic] and passed away after an illness of six days at her home in Moneta, Iowa, Jan 28th, 1920 at the age of 46 years 11 months and 13 days

The cause of her sudden and unexpected death was influenza. Surely, "As for man, his days are as grass, as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth, for the wind passeth over it and it is gone." And again, "there is but a step between us and death."

The childhood days of the deceased were spent at Wilton, Iowa. From here she moved to Watertown, S. D. In 1904 she came back to Iowa.

She was married to Louis Ruwe on that 6th day of July 1904. Immediately they went to housekeeping in Moneta, here they lived ever since.

She leaves to mourn a sorrow stricken husband, one brother Frank Vass of Moneta, five sisters, Mrs. Hugo Brugman of Moneta, Mrs Augusta Christensen and Miss Leda Vass both of Council Bluffs, Ia., Mrs. H. D. Stoterau and Mrs D. C. Maas of Hartley, other relatives and many, friends

The funeral services were held at the church in Moneta Friday at 3:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. F. J. Lantow, pastor of the Evengelical church of Hartley.
After the service at the church the; audience marched in a body to the; home and viewed the remains through, the window.

Mr. Ruwe has in his great loss the sympathy of the entire community.
The remains were brought to Hartley and placed in mother earth in the beautiful Pleasant View cemetery to await the Resurrection.
