BERNARD TIPP
Bernard Tipp, son of Raymond and Minnie Tipp, was born in Sanborn, la. on October 17, 1922. He lived his youth and attended school in Sanborn, Iowa and graduated from the Sanborn High School in 1941. He started working for the Milwaukee Railroad as a young man at the age of 17 at Sanborn and was serving his 34th year at the time of his death. He worked in the Sanborn, Spencer, Mason City, Iowa, Miles City, Mont. , Sioux Falls, S. D. and Davenport, Iowa vicinities.
He entered the Army on March 5, 1943 and was discharged on January 21, 1946 and served in the European Theater.
He passed away suddenly on August 29, 1974 at the Mercy Hospital at Davenport, Iowa at the age of 51 years, 10 months and 12 days.
He is survived by his mother, Minnie, of Eldridge. Ia. and many other relatives and friends.
He was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church at Sanborn.
