MRS. H. J. W. MOELLER

Mrs. H. J. W. Moeller, a long time local resident, passed away Thursday, July 2, 1953, following several years of illness.

Tillie M. Scheldorf, daughter of Henry and Matilda Scheldorf, was born September 8, 1884, in Crawford county, Iowa, and died at Hartley, Iowa, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 24 days.

On January 10, 1906, she was united in marriage to Henry J. W. Moeller in West Side, Iowa. To this union five children were born; Harold and Earl preceded their mother in death.

Surviving are her husband, Henry, two daughters and one son, Mrs. Viola Schoening of Sutherland, Iowa, Mrs. Herman Kolln of Sutherland, Iowa, and Lester Moeller of Hartley, Iowa.

She leaves to mourn 10 grand­children and one great-grandchild, one daughter-in-law and two sons-in-law.

She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: John Scheldorf of Manning, George of Windom, Minn., Adolph of Carroll, Iowa, Carrie Hagedorn of Lake View, Iowa, Harry Scheldorf of Wall Lake, Iowa, and Alvina Brockshus of West Side, Iowa.

Mrs. Moeller was baptized in the Methodist faith. Her girlhood was spent in Crawford county, Iowa. She spent 45 years of her married life on a farm near Moneta, Iowa, and the remaining years were spent in Hartley, Iowa.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Methodist church in Hartley, conducted by Rev. Raymond Roloff, pastor of the church. Interment was made in Pleasant View cemetery. Services were also held at 1:30 at Foley's Funeral Chapel. Soloist, Ronald Roloff, sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset." Casketbearers were Paul Riessen, Will Enenbach, Bill Westphal, Henry Baumgarn, Lloyd Spang and Ed Kimes.

Relatives attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Will Zeman, Albert Van Dorn, Mabel and Winona all of Holstein, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Scheldorf and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Philip, Mrs. Will Eager all of Chokio, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Breckmann of West Side, Iowa, Mrs. Carrie Hagedorn of Lake View, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Maak and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schwantz of Odebolt, Iowa, Adolph Scheldorf, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kraft and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Huegriele all of Carroll, Iowa, Mr. Amandus Kracht, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kracht, Orval Kracht, Mrs. Vernon Ossenkopp, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kracht all of West Side, Iowa, and a host of friends from Spencer, Sutherland and Primghar.

Her thoughtfulness and willingness to help others shall never be forgotten, and today her many friends mourn the loss of a true and loyal friend.
