Services held for Todd V. Nelson

Funeral services for Todd V. Nelson, age 22 years, 2 months and 7 days, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 1999 at the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina, Iowa, with Rev. Donald Freeman officiating. "Go Rest High On That Mountain," "People Need the Lord," and "All I Needed to Say" were sung by Andrea Orthmann and Lindsay Jensen. The pianist was Joel Orthmann. The honorary casket bearers were Eric Rogers, To Lo Van, Daryn Dau, Bill Klink, Brian Rohlfsen, Aaron Fiddelke, Steve Hansen and Mason Drefke. The services were under the direction of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Todd Vernon Nelson, the son of Tom V. and Sherri L. Jensen Nelson, was born November 9, 1976, in Har-. tley, Iowa. He graduated from South O'Brien High School in May of 1995. On July 15, 1995, he was united in marriage to Rebecca A. Cloud in Paullina, Iowa. Todd loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, anything with a motor. Todd especially loved attending NASCAR races, as well as winged sprint car races.

He was currently a member of the Estherville Fire Department and was a former member of the Paullina Fire Department.

Todd leaves behind many family members and friends who loved him and influenced his life in some way, among these are his uncle Jim Jensen and Steve Cloud.

Todd is survived by his daughters, Brianna Rae Nelson and Bailee Jean Nelson, both of Sioux City; his mother, Sherri Nelson of Paullina; sisters, Christa Johannsen of Paullina and Ann and her husband, Mark Struve of Sioux City; his brother, Rob Brennan of Mankato, Minnesota; maternal grandparents, Alfred and Betty Jensen of Sutherland and paternal grandmother, Millie L. Nelson of Guthrie Center, Iowa; maternal great-grandmother, Sarah Fogelman of Webb, Iowa; a niece and nephew, Brittany and Branden Johannsen; a special friend, Lori Trevis and her son, Derek; also a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom V. Nelson and his paternal grandfather, Eddie V. Nelson.
