Services held for Roy Pippert

Services in memory of Roy Pippert were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 1987 at Trinity United Church of Christ. Hartley, Iowa. Rev. Jean Rosewall officiated. Casket bearers were Glen Stoterau, Orlin Hein, Merlyn Schoelerman. Steve Coulter, Lon Vogt and Delmar Dahnke. Honorary casket attendants were Irvin Dahnke, Bert Van Iperen, Merle Vogt, Lawrence Klinker. Edward Peters and Eldon Paulsen. Committal service was at Pleasant View Cemetery. Hartley, Iowa.

Roy Wesley Pippert, the son of John Pippert and Lenora Fritzle Pippert, was born December 13, 1896 at Hartley. Iowa. He attended rural school near his childhood home.

He was united in marriage to Adelia Glaser on February 4, 1930. They farmed near Hartley until 1963 when they moved into town. Roy was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ and the Brotherhood in Hartley.

He passed away at Hartley, Iowa on December 7. 1987 at the age of 90. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers. Irvin and Floyd, and three sisters, Carrie Penningroth, Myrtle Ehler and Flossie Schubert.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Adelia, one son and his wife. Verlus and Alice of Hartley: four grandchildren Ronda (Mrs. Lee Irvine) of Primghar, Iowa, Patti, Brian and Gary of Hartley: two great grandsons. Lance and Chad Irvine of Primghar, one sister, Lutrella Bobzien of Hartley, other relatives and many friends.
