A memorial service for Evelyn Lundie, 78, of Germantown, was held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 20, 1998 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. Interment at the Meriden Cemetery in Meriden, IA. She passed away on Friday, April 17, 1998 at the Baum Harmon Memorial Hospital in Primghar.

Evelyn Lundie, the daughter of Emil and Claudina Pauling Hoerman, was born October 11, 1919 in Iona, Minnesota. She moved with her family to the Germantown, Iowa area in 1028 where she received her education at St. John's Lutheran School in Germantown. Evelyn was employed at the Miller-Lange General Store in Germantown and later worked for Kummerfeldt Service, also in Germantown.

On July 27, 1955, she was united in marriage to Harold Lundie at the Peace Lutheran Church in Marchus, Ia. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Germantown.

Evelyn was baptized into the Lutheran faith in Iona Minnesota in 1919 and later confirmed on March 25, 1934 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown where she was currently a member.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Harold, of Germantown; a sister-in-law, Darlene Hoermann of Germantown; also nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wilbert.
