Ruby A. Puhrmann, the daughter of Robert and Emily (Schuknecht) Meyer, Jr., was born May 30, 1918, in Marcus Township, Cherokee County, Iowa. She received her education in country school in O'Brien County. She was baptized on June 16, 1918, and later confirmed on May 22, 1932, and was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. She also had been a member of the Ladies Aid of the church.
On September 19, 1937, she was united in marriage to Bently H. Puhrmann at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. After their marriage, the couple farmed northwest of Paullina for many years until 1978. The couple remained on the family farm and later moved to the Paullina Care Center in November of 1998.
Bently passed away on June 13, 2001, in Paullina.She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, flowers and gardening
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory one sone and his wife; one daughter and her husband; four grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Vernelle and Delores Meyer of Broken Arrow, Ok; also a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother, Edwin Meyer.
