Anne Thompsen Anderson
Ann Thompsen was born Dec. 28, 1850 at North Shleswig, Denmark. She was united in marriage to Hans Christ Anderson Feb. 29, 1872. With her husband and children came from Denmark to Paullina where she resided until her death July 23, 1925.
At the age of fourteen she was confirmed in the Danish Lutheran church and was a faithful adherent of that faith until death. Since coming to this country she has been a faithful member of the Norwegian Lutheran church. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of that church.
To this union were born nine children, Hans, Anna and Magrata preceding her. Those living are Jens Anderson of Archer; Mrs. A.L. Woodman of Archer; Chris of Paullina, Mrs. Timina Wall of Detroit, Michign; Mrs. Clarence Smith of Paullina and Mrs. E.M. Steward of Cherokee. These with her husband and twenty-six grandchildren and many friends are left to mourn her death.
The last two years her health has not been the best but her death came unexpected Thursday morning, July 23, 1925.
The deceased with her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in February 1022. He health permitted her to attend church the Sabbath before her death. All the children and grandchildren with the exception of eight, who live in Mantann, were present at the funeral.
