ROBERT FLINT
Robert Flint passed away at the Iowa University Hospital on Friday, January 24, following a short illness. Funeral services were conducted at the Foley Funeral Home, Monday, January 27, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Daib officiating. Mr. A. C. Hoper sang "Rock of Ages," accompanied by Caroline Paulsen. Other appropriate music was played. Pallbearers were Ed Mohni, Wayne Woodall, Wayne Shouse, Orland Krutzfeldt, Bud Peterson and Melvin Westphal. Interment was made in the Pleasant View cemetery. Relatives attending the funeral were from Highland Park and Wilmette, Ill.; Austin, Minn.; Primghar and Sutherland.
Robert Flint was born July 7, 1906, at Wilmette, Ill., to John and Amelia Flint. He passed away at Iowa City January 24 at the age of 51 years.
He attended the Wilmette grade school and graduated from New Trier high school. In 1929 he moved to Moneta, Iowa, where he was engaged in farming. In 1948 he moved to Hartley, where he operated a service station.
He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Robert, Jr., a daughter-in-law, Esther, two grandsons, Daniel and Ronald, all of Austin, Minn.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Flint of Sutherland; and two brothers, Arthur of Highland Park, Ill., and Herbert of Wilmette, Ill.
