Funeral Services Held Saturday For John Axdahl, 68

Funeral Services for John Axdahl were held Saturday, September 29 at the Gaudian Funeral Home in Paullina. Mr. Axdahl passed away September 27 at Primghar at the age of 68 years and 25 days.

Rev. Dennis Heifner of the Siloam Lutheran church officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Bentley Axdahl, Martin Axdahl, Arthur Kimblad, Alfred Fritz, Edward Gerstandt and August Gerstandt.

The Russel West Legion Post conducted military graveside services at Prairie View Cemetery.

John Axdahl was born September 2, 1905 at Forrestjorden Haugesund Norway. He grew up in the Axdahl community in Norway, coming to the United States in 1923.

He worked on farms in this area and has also been in the military service.

Mr. Axdahl is survived by four sisters and 1 brothers, all living in Norway. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
