OBITUARY

Bendik Christian Axdahl was born Nov 17th, 1892, at Axdahl Hangesund, Norway, His parents, Bjorn and Maria Axdahl and one sister preceding him in death. At the age of 19 he emigrated to America and came to Sac county, Iowa, where he remained one year, then moved to O'Brien county, to make his home.

In 1920, the 14th of January, he was united in holy matrimony to Isabell Axdahl, to this union were born two children, Mavis Bernice 9 years and Gaylord Jennings 4 years. For the last three years he has lived with his family on his own farm 1 mile north of Gaza.

On the morning of the 11th of February, he was taken to the hospital at LeMars, Iowa, where he passed away the 14th of February at 3:30 P M., 37 years, 2 months and 27 days old.

He was baptized and confirmed In the Lutheran church In which church he remained a member He leaves to mourn his departure three brothers and one sister, of which one brother, Berdinus Axdahl lives here, Andreas, Mandius and Elizabeth Axdahl living in Norway and besides these a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral services were conducted from the Norwegian Lutheran church Feb. 17th, Rev. J. O. Wangberg officiating. The out of town people who attended the funeral were Mr Ole Williams and Gilbert Williams, Ruthven, Minn., Mr nnd Mrs. Slg Espeland. Mr and Mrs. Ole Elnewold, Carthage, S. Mr and Mrs. Sam Espeland. Mr Will Halvorsen and Miss Hazel Lokken, Storm Lake, la., Mr and Mrs. Art Cleveland, Linn Grove, Ida and Clarence Delan, Sanborn, Ia.
