Services held for Adele Koehlmoos

Funeral services for Adele Koehlmoos .were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa, with Rev. Charles Kramer officiating. The casket bearers were Kent Pauling, Toby Waugh, Denny Lamb, John Koehlmoos, Phil George, Rick Abrahamson, Rich Scott and Brian Koehlmoos. Interment was at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Germantown, Iowa, under the direction of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Adele Lina Dorothea Emma Anna Koehlmoos, the daughter of Friedrich and Clara Bartels Meyer, was born May 23, 1910, in Caledonia Township, O'Brien County, Iowa. Adele was baptized into the Lutheran faith on May 25, 1910, and later confirmed on April 13, 1924, at St. John's Lutheran Church in German-town.

She was united in marriage to Emil Koehlmoos on December 19, 1928, at her parent's home near Paullina, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Germantown area for many years until moving into Paullina in 1980.

Her husband preceded her in death on March 29. 1982, in Primghar. Adele continued to make her home in Paullina.

She passed away on Sunday, April 2, 1995, at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, reaching the age of 84 years, 10 months and 9 days.

She was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church in German-town and a member of the Ladies Aid of the church She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, flowers and baking.

Adele leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Vernice and her husband, John Rahbusch of Sutherland; two sons: Orlynn and his wife, Betty Koehlmoos and Dennis and his wife, Esther Koehlmoos of Paullina; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Verna Ann and her husband, Odello Schlichte of Everly, one brother-in-law, Ed and his wife, Florence Koehlmoos of Sheldon, also a host of other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; step-mother; two sisters and one brother.
