JoAnne Kaiser

Ruth "JoAnne" Kaiser, the daughter of Ray and Rosa (Lange) Richter, was born July 25, 1933 on a farm near Germantown, Iowa. She received her education in Germantown and later graduated from Paullina High School in 1951. After high school she worked at the Hatfield Grocery Store, before going to work as an operator at the Paullina Telephone Office.

On April 28,1963, she was united in marriage to Wilbur Kaiser at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. After their marriage the couple moved to the family farm southwest of Germantown. where they have farmed for many years.

JoAnne passed away on Monday, June 12, 2006 in her home near Germantown, Iowa; reaching the age of 72 years. 10 months and 18 days. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown; where she was baptized on August 13,1933 and later confirmed into the Lutheran faith on May 25, 1947.

JoAnne took pride in being a wife, a mother and an immaculate housekeeper.

Services for JoAnne Kaiser age 72, of Germantown, Iowa, were held Friday, June 16,2006 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa with the Rev. Donald Erickson officiating. Burial was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Germantown, Iowa. The Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements. Visitation was after 2:00pm Thursday, June 15, 2006, at the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina, with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00pm, a Prayer Service was held at 8:00pm at the funeral home.

JoAnne leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 43 years, Wilbur of rural Germantown; a daughter and her husband, Crystal and Dave Vande Weerd of Hospers, Iowa; a sister and her husband, Elaine and Glen Waggoner of Sutherland; a brother-in-law and his wife, Harold and Betty Kaiser of Crestview, Florida; also other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Shirley in infancy; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Darlene Richter; a sister-in-law and her husband, Phyllis and Dale Hems.
