OBITUARY
EMIL A. PETERS

Emil August Peters, the
son of Herman and Rikea Tieboldt
Peters, was born October
30, 1893, at Everly, Iowa.
He passed away at the Hartley
Community Hospital, July 12,
1970, at the age of 76 years, 8
months and 12 days.

He lived around Everly for
a few years and later moved
with his parents to Ogema,
Minnesota. In 1920, he moved
to Hartley where he was an
auctioneer and farmer for 40
years.

He was united in marriage
to Stella Gosch, June 29, 1920,
at Spencer, Iowa. They had 50
years of happily married life.

He was a member of St.
Paul's Lutheran Church of
Hartley, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by
his parents and five brothers.

Left to cherish his memory
are his wife, Stella; one daughter,
Joyce (Mrs. Warren Jenkins)
of Hartley; two sons;
Darrell of Paullina, and Dale
of Hartley; seven grandchildren;
three brothers: Thomas
of Bagley, Minn., Ebright of
Island City, Oregon and Leo of
Little Falls, Minn., other relatives
and his many friends.

Services were held on Wednesday,
July 15, at St. Paul's
Lutheran Church in Hartley.
Rev. A. O. Bleeke officiated.
Pallbearers were Edward
Peters, Curtis Pearson, Martin
Westphal, Chris Baumeister,
Harry Wiese and Delbert Appeldorn.
Interment was in Pleasant
View Cemetery at Hartley with
Baumgarten Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.
