EMIL PETERS

Emil Peters, the son of John
and Marie Dibbern Peters, was
born at Durant, in Cedar County,
Iowa, on September 14, 1883. At
the age of 10, in 1893, Emil moved
with his parents and family to
a farm east of Hartley. Here he
grew to manhood.

Emil farmed near Hartley and
did custom threshing in the Hartley
vicinity for a number of
years.

Early in the 20's he was
received into the Church through
the Sacrament of Holy Baptism
and Confirmation by the Rev. Albrecht.

About three years ago Emil
Peters bought a farm southeast
of Hartley where he made his
home until the time of his death
on Tuesday morning, April 19, at
the age of 65 years, 7 months and
five days.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
Peters; two brothers, Leonard
and John Peters; and one sister,
Mrs. Henry Hirt preceded Emil in
death.

He is survived by Mrs. John
Rinck of Hartley, Mrs. Emil Fahrenkrog
of Hartley, Mrs. Alfred
Hansen of Mason City, Iowa,
Ferdinand Peters of Glenville,
Minnesota, Harry Peters of Hartley,
and Harold Peters of Vallisca,
Iowa.

Memorial has been given in
name of Emil Peters.
Services at Foley Funeral
Home and Trinity Evangelical
and Reformed Church on Friday,
April 22, 1949. Burial in Pleasant
View Cemetery. Rev. B. H. Romanowski,
officiated.
