Mrs. Herman Hoger

Mrs. Herman Hoger died at her farm home west of Paullina Tuesday morning at 10:30 of pneumonia following an attack of Spanish influenza.

She had been caring for her husband and son Albert, who have been ill with the same disease. The husband has recovered but the son has the pneumonia and is seriously sick.

Mrs. Hoger had only been ill since Friday and her death came as a great shock to her family.

Miss Dora Siemsglusz was born December 18, 1876 in Hanover, Germany.

In 1889 she came with her parents to this country, locating on a farm north of Marcus, near Germantown.

On November 9, 1902, she was married to Herman Hoger. Three children were born to this couple, three sons, Herman, aged 15, Evan, 12 and Albert, 8 years old. Besides her husband and sons, she leaves to mourn her death her father, two brothers, Henry of Paullina and Otto of Bingham Lake, Minnesota, and one sister, Mrs. Diedrich Proehl of Paullina.

She was a member of the Lutheran church at Germantown. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at her home at four o'clock, Rev. Potratz officiating.
