VIRGIL PHILIP RICHTER 1948—1962

Virgil Philip Richter, the youngest son of Edwin and Lavina Ewoldt Richter, was born in the Sacred Heart Hospial at LeMars on March 15, 1948, and passed away unexpectly on January 14, 1962, at the family home near Granville where he had lived his few brief years of life. He reached the age of 13 years, 9 months and 29 days. He was baptized on April 4, 1948, in St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown, by Rev. G. Eshenbacher.

Virgil started school in St. John's Lutheran in Germantown, where he was a student in the eighth grade and a member of the 1962 confirmation class at the time of his sudden death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Richter, two brothers Merlyn and Marlyn, a sister Marlys, a nephew Ricky, two grandmothers Mrs. Helina Richter of Paullina and Mrs. Mary Ewoldt of Calumet, besides a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at the Gaudian Funeral Home at Paullina at 1:30 and 2.00 at St. John's Lutheran Church at Germantown with Rev Sohn officiating on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1962, and was laid to rest in St. John cemetery.
