OBITUARY

Emil Willis "Hat" Hattermann, the son of Emil and Adella Pauling Hattermann, was born February 2, 1924, in Caledonia Township, O'Brien County, Iowa. He attended school at St. John's Lutheran School in Germantown. He then served in the Navy during WW II as an aviation mate in the Pacific. He returned to the Paullina area where he worked for Martin Pauling as an electrician.

In September of 1948, he was united in marriage to Ruby Huber in Freeman, South Dakota. After their marriage, they settled in the Germantown area where he was engaged in farming and ran his own electrician business. In 1969, he began working for Dresser Engineering of Tulsa, Oklahoma, as an electrical foreman. He retired in September of 1987 to make his home in Douglas, Wyoming.

He passed away on Monday, October 28, 1991, at the Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas, Wyoming, reaching the age of 67 years, 8 months and 26 days. He. was baptized and later confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, which he was a member of the church.

E.W. leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Steven and his wife Young Hattermannnn of Casper. Wyoming; Dudley of Douglas, Wyoming and Jeffrey of Paullina; two grandchildren: Michael and Mai Hattermann; two sisters: Mrs. Fernadel Baade of Paullina and Mrs. Avanel Grauer of Longview, Washington; also a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters in infancy, Adeline and Sila.
