" 'Tis hard to break the tender cords
When love has found the heart.
Tis hard, so hard, to speak the words
That we must temporarily part.
But we have this consoling thought—
Only a thin veil hangs between
The pathway we trod

Dearest loved one—
We must lay thee In the peaceful grace's embrace,
But thy memory will be cherished
Till we see thy heavenly face."
