Services held for Miss Rose Gruenhagen

Services for Miss Rose Gruenhagen, 83, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Paullina, were held on Saturday, June 14, 1997, at 1 p.m. at the Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina. Rev. Stephen Kamprath officiated with the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina in charge of the arrangements.

OBITUARY

Rose Gruenhagen. the daughter of Gustav and Kathrine Gruenhagen was born February 18, 1914, on the family farm near Germantown, Iowa. She attended St John's Lutheran School and later graduated from Paullina High School.

She then moved to Des Moines where for many years had been employed as a transportation manager of the Iowa Liquor Department until her retirement in 1981. Her retirement years were spent in Des Moines, where she passed away on Thursday, June 12, 1997, at the Hospice Kabanagh House in West Des Moines, Iowa, reaching the age of 83 years, 2 months and 24 days.

She is survived by one brother. Paul Gruenhagen of Sanborn, Iowa, and by three nieces: Carlen Smith of Storm Lake. Iowa, Lynn Henderson of Spencer. Iowa, and Dianna Myers.
