Katharina Gruenhagen Services Held Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, August 21 at the Zion Lutheran Church of Paullina. Rev. Edgar Streufert of Marcus officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Clarence Kluender, Elmer Kluender, Hillard Mueller, LeRoy Mueller, Harry Puhrmann and Arthur Gebert. Miss Patricia Schuknecht sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" with Mrs. Clarence Hibbing as organist. Final resting place was St. John's Lutheran cemetery at Germantown.

Mrs. Gruennhagen, the former Katharina Mueller, was born Jan. 6, 1881, in Lincoln, Mo. She was married May 22, 1904, at Lincoln. They moved to a farm near Germantown and farmed until retiring to Paullina in 1936. He died in 1960.

Survivors include a son, Paul of Paullina; two daughters, Mrs. Etta Hoermann of Paullina and Miss Rose Gruenhagen of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters.
