Dora Wilhelmina Maria Hansen , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Hansen was born Ocotber 18, 1911 in the family home near Paullina, and departed this life on April 19, 1929, at the Sacred Heart hospital at LeMars, Iowa where she had been taken on the Sunday previous seeking relief from diabetes of which disease she had been a sufferer for three years.

When an infant, Dora had been baptized and at the age of 14 years was confirmed in the Holy Faith of the Zion Evangelical church of Calumet, in which faith she remained until her death.

Dora was a loving daughter and sister, being of a sunny, unselfish disposition and though the nature of her illness required that she deny herself much, yet she met life bravely and found much joy in living, trying ever to appreciate life as she must live it.

She leaves to mourn her early passing her devoted father and mother, two brothers, Herman and Ray, and three sisters, Clara, Ella and Anna, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 o'clock at the home and at 3:00 at the Presbyterian church at Paullina, Rev. Paul G. Weubben officiated. The remains were laid to rest at the Prairie View cemetery at Paullina.
