Harry H. Hansen

Funeral services for Harry H. Hansen were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 1992, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa, with Rev. Charles Kramer officiating. The pallbearers were Dale Voss, Leroy Mueller, Michael Hansen, El-wood Koehlmoos, Bob Leitz and Brad Hansen. Roy & Shirley Ebel and Harry & Margaret Ebel were in charge of flowers. The final resting place is St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Gcrmantown, Iowa, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina.

OBITUARY

Harry H. Hansen, the son of Hans and Dora Broocks Hansen, was born May 8, 1904, at Lake Preston, South Dakota. He received his education at St. John's Lutheran School in Germantown, and various other country schools.

On September 26, 1931, he was united in marriage to Claribel Sampson. After their marriage the couple farmed west of Germantown for many years. She preceded him in death on June 3, 1964.

On February 15, 1965, he was united in marriage to Annie Jorgensen in Jackson, Minnesota. After their marriage the couple made their home west of Germantown.

Harry retired from farming in 1966 and in 1985 the couple moved into Paullina. Harry passed away on Monday, June 22, 1992, at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar after being stricken at his residence, reaching the age of 88 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Harry was baptized into the Lutheran faith on April 21, 1907, and later confirmed on March 28, 1920, and was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown.

Harry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Annie of Paullina; one son, Eldon and daughter-in-law, Pauline Hansen of Mechanicsville, Iowa; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie & Floyd Cuthrell of Ankeny, Iowa; two step sons: Glen and his wife, Helen Jorgensen of Paullina, and David and his wife, Jeannette Jorgensen of Lakefield, Minnesota; one step-daughter, Elna and her husband, Ron Mortensen of Ft. Myers, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Mabel Axdahl of Iona, Minnesota, and Mrs. Delia Baker in California; also a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Marvin; parents; two brothers and four sisters.
