Services held for Ida Hansen

Funeral services for Ida Hansen were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 22, 1989, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Marcus, Iowa, with Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. The pallbearers were Wally Fegebank, Don Mott, Leonard School, Richard Grosshauser, Bob Engel and Dave Ebel. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa, under the direction of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Ida Hansen, the daughter of Jonas and Caroline Wallin, was born July 8, 1908, in Cherokee County near Marcus, Iowa. She attended Cherokee County rural schools.

On December 8, 1935, she was united in marriage to Roy E. Hansen in Remsen, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Marcus area for two years until moving to a farm south of Paullina. The couple farmed until Roy's passing on June 30, 1972, at the family farm. Ida continued to make her home on the farm until moving into Paullina in 1976.

Ida passed away on Thursday, May 18,1989, at Marian Health Center in Sioux City, reaching the age of 80 years, 10 months and 10 days.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Marcus and the Agape Circle of the church. Ida had a love of the outdoors in her gardening and the many fishing trips she went on.

Ida leaves to cherish her memory one son and daughter-in-law, Myron Dean and Marion Hansen of Paullina; one daughter and son-in-law, Joan Caroline and Keith Blum of Bloomington, Minnesota; three grandchildren: James, Karen and Kathleen; also a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Signa Lundquist and Ann Wallin and four brothers, Emanuel, Olaf, Peter" and Carl Wallin.
