Funeral Services Wednesday, Oct. 1 For Mrs, Esther Green
Funeral services for Mrs. John Green were held Wednesday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran Church with Rev Melvin Thur officiating. Mrs Green passed away September 28 at the Hartley hospital.

Pallbearers were Melbourne Kamerath Dirrel Donaldson. Daryl Doeden. Roy Ebel, Clarence Jensen and Clarence Johannsen. Organist was Mrs Marvin Fintel and the congregation sang two hymns "Be Still My Soul" and "Just As I Am" Burial was in the Prairie View Cemetery at Paullina with arrangments under the care of the Gaudian Funeral Home.

Obitutary

Esther Ida Green, the daughter of Fred Hoppe and Anna Broocks was born June 20, 1899 at Granville, O'Brien County. Iowa. She was baptized in the Christian faith on July 8. 1899 at St John's of Germantown. After her education there she was confirmed on March 31, 1912 at St. John's.

She was united in marriage to John Green on March 3, 1917. The Lord blessed this union with two daughters. After their marriage they farmed near Archer until they moved to Paullina about 1947. On March 29, 1956 her life was saddened by the death of her husband.

Last Thursday, September 25th she became sick and was taken to the Hartley Community Hospital where she was called to her rest on Sunday, September 28th, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters. Violette of Sutherland, Iowa and Mrs. Gerald (Edna) Oldenkamp of Sheldon, Iowa, her brother, Ernest Hoppe of Paullina: her sisters, Mrs. August (Louise) Kamrath of Lake Field, Minnesota, Mrs. Floyd (Metha) Donaldson of Webb, Iowa: and Mrs. Fred (Anna) Doeden of Worthington, Minnesota: two grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters, one brother, and a granddaughter, Linda.
