FORMER RESIDENT HERE DIES IN KANSAS HOME

Mr. Henry Hoermann, for many years a resident of this community, died at his home in Newton, Kansas, on April 16th, 1928, at the age of 70 years, 2 months nnd 10 days.

He is survived by his wife and six children, five sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. C.F. Meyer, Mrs. Jasper Imwiehe, Mrs. William Hellmann, Mrs. Fred Schulz, Mrs. John Ebel, and a brother William Hoermann of Granville, Iowa.

Deceased was born at Coopers Grove, Cook County, Illinois, on January 30th. l852. He came to O'Brien county in the year of 1878, and settled two miles south of Germantown, where he farmed until I890. moving then to Newton, Kansas. After farming for several years in Kansas, he retired and moved into the city of Newton.

He was one of the organizers of Ihe Lutheran Church at Germantown, and served as County Supervisor for several years from this district. He was very well known in this locality, as a man of integrity and of excellent character. His many old time friends here are shocked to learn of the news of his death.
