FORMER RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

Word was received here the latter part of last week by relatives conveying the sad news of the death of Mrs. Robert Mac Intyre, nee Edit Towe. The cause of the death was pneumonia following an attack of influenza. At the time of her death, she was living at Centralia, Wash. The body was brought to Paullina Monday for interment. A brief funeral service was held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Lancaster officiating. Interment was at Prairie View Cemetery.

Edith Towe MacIntyre was born at Paullina, Ia., December 14, 1886, and passed to her reward January 29, 1919 at Centralia, Wash. She grew to womanhood in this community. She received her preliminary education in the Paullina public school, graduating from the high school. After her graduation from the local school, she entered Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, from which school she graduated in ___ After her graduation from this school, she taught in different schools of Iowa and South Dakota until the ____ of 1914 when she decided to go west.

There she spent one year at ___ Wash, and three years in the Raymond, Wash. schools.

On September 19, 1918, she was married to Robert K. MacIntyre.

She was employed as a principal in one of the Centralia, Wash. schools when she was stricken with the influenza. After of weeks illness of this dread malady she passed from this life, leaving to mourn her death her husband, Robert K. Mac Intyre of Centralia, Wash., her father, Severt Towe, of Paullina, two brothers, Severn and Spencer of Paullina and three sisters, Laura and Mildred of Paullina and Mrs. S.M. Boyce of Kimball, S.D.

The deceased united with the Methodist church while a young lady at college. She remained a devoted Christian and adherent of the tenets of her church until her death.
