Mrs. A . L. Koster Dies Monday
Overdose of Headache Medicine
Results in DeathThe death of Mrs. A. L. Koster
at 8:15 Monday morning was a
shock to her friends and relatives.
Mrs. Koster, who was subject to
severe headaches, had taken an
overdose of headache medicine
which caused her death. She is
survived by her husband and two
daughters, Patty and Wilna, her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Brewster
of Laurens, and other relatives.Funeral services were held at
the Reiste Funeral Home Tuesday
afternoon with. Rev. H. C. Dawes
of the Methodist church in charge.
Mrs. Phillip Jordan sang at the
service. The body was taken to
Laurens where funeral services

Obituary of Lydia Mae Koster nee BrewsterTHE LAURENS SUN Laurens, Pocahontas, Iowa, THURSDAY, JULY 29, 1943
Lydia Mae, daughter of E. E. and Belle Brewster was born at Laurens, January 7, 1914; and passed away suddenly at her home in Sutherland on Monday, July 26, following an illness of a few hours, at the age of 29 years, 6 months and 19 days. She was baptized when an infant and at the age of 13 years united with the Laurens Methodist Church confession of faith.
On October 7, 1932, she was united in marriage to Aloilsius Koster and to this union three daughters were born; one passing away in infancy. Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters: Patricia Ann, age 9; Wilma Jean, age 7; her parents, three brothers, Leroy, who is in the armed forces: Paul, a prisoner of war in Japan; Elbert of Fort Dodge; and one sister, Mrs. Harold Hakeman of Sutherland.
