Services Held for Edward A. Crosbie
Services for Edward A Crosbie were held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 27, 1984 at Friends Meeting House, rural Paullina, Iowa. The honorary pall bearers were Dale Crosbie, Robert Seifert, Caroll Wall, Joseph Tanenbaum, Mark Arabadjief, and Douglas Cannon. The pall bearers were Theodore Crosbie, Stoven Tjossem, Calvin Crosbie, Greg Flanagan, Kent Tjossem and Martin Tjossem. The final resting place is at Friends Cemetery, Rural Paullina, Iowa.
OBITUARY
Edward A. Crosbie, farmer, was born October 30, 1898, in Ida County, Iowa. He was the son of Gavin and E. Alice Edmundson Crosbie. On April 20, 1922, Edward was united in marriage to Stella Tjossem in the Anton Tjossem home.
This beautiful marriage was blessed with three sons, Owen, Gordon and Roger; nine grandchildren, Theodore, Teresa Tanenbaum, Christine Crosbie, Nancy Flanagan, Calvin, Mark, Arabadjief, Marilyn Seifert, Sherri Wilder, Arlan Wilder, eight great grandchildren, Jonathan Crosbie, Chelsea Flanagan, Darius and Justin Arabadjief, Christine, Karin, Mark and Sharon Seifert.
Edward was a member of the Society of Friends, Conservatives. He received his education in Ida County, Iowa. He and Stella farmed near Ida Grove, Aurelia, and Primghar for many.years.
Edward is survived by three sons, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella on January 3,1983, his parents; two sisters, Florence and "Jessie;" and one brother, Sidney.
