Services Held for Albert "Slim" Tesch
Services for Albert "Slim" Tesch were held at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Hartley, Ia., on Friday, October 19, 1984, at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Bernard Sayler officiating. "Take My Hand, Precious Lord", "In The Garden", were sung by Jacob Moermond and "God Be With You" was sung by the congregation with Mrs. Emma Mills at the organ. The casket bearers were Wayne Hassebroek, Curtis Green, Terry Tesch, David Tesch, Tim Lehman and Thad Noethe. The ushers were Lawrence Klinker and Gilbert Rinck. The committal service was held at Prairie View Cemetery at Paullina. The Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
OBITUARY
Albert "Slim" Tesch. the son of Christ and Anna Meyer Tesch, was born June 22, 1904 at Germantown in O'Brien County, Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Lillian Kluender on December 10, 1924 at Paullina, Iowa. They made their home at Paullina until moving to Calumet in 1937. Since 1955, they had lived at Hartley where Slim was engaged in the trucking business until his retirement in 1975.
He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ at Hartley.
He passed away at St. Luke's in Sioux City on October 16, 1984, at the age of 80.
Preceding him in death were his parents, seven brothers and sisters, one son, Kenneth, one grandson, Michael Reimers and one son-in-law, Holland Green.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lillian, four sons, Don of Spencer, James of Paullina, Bob of Storm Lake and Dick of Shawnee, Kansas; three daughters, Shirley Doyle,of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Robert (Jo Ann) Reimers of Holstein, and Mrs. Monte (Carolyn) Noethe of Cherokee; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; other relatives and-friends.
