Services held for Luella Daum

Funeral services for Luella Daum were held at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland, Iowa, on Saturday, February 6, 1988, al 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Leroy Riemer officiated. Mrs. Loren Drefke served as organist and accompanied the congregation as they sang "How Great Thou Art", "O That The Lord Would Guide My Ways," and "Abide With Me." The casket bearers were Kenneth Meyer, Dale Voss, Gary Koester, Curtis Koehlmoos, Ronald Jalas and David Koehlmoos. The committal service was held at Waterman Cemetery, Sutherland, Iowa, under the direction of the Baumgarten Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Luella Minnie Daum, the daughter of Henry and Ida Richter Koehlmoos, was born April 16, 1919, at Granville, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed and attended parochial school at German-town.

She was united in marriage to Otto Daum at Germantown, on September 15, 1940. They made their home at Pilger, NE, until moving to Sutherland in 1967. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church at Sutherland and had been active in Ladies Aid and Concordia Club. For several years, she had worked at the Sutherland Lockers and at Millies Rest Home and had been a cook at school.

She passed away on February 3, 1988, at Sioux City, IA, at the age of 68.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband in 1973, infant twins and one granddaughter, Denise Marie Daum.

Left to cherish her memory are seven sons: Larry and Karla of Emerson, NE, Harley and Jeanne of Staples, MN, Daryl of South Sioux City, NE, Roger and Cindy of Em-metsburg, IA, Loren of Los Angeles, CA, Randall and Brenda of Vine Grove, KY, and Arlen and Renee of Cherokee, IA; three daughters: Judy and Jerry. Allvin of Norfolk NE, Mary and Tom Steffens of Marcus, IA, and Ida and Dave Rehder of Golden, CO; twenty-one grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three brothers: Burnell of Paullina, Iowa, and Elwood and Lyle, both of Granville, IA; one sisler: Eleanora (Mrs. Henry Jalas Jr.) of Sutherland, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
