Minnie Wilson

Funeral services for Minnie Wilson were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 1991, at the Siloam Lutheran Church in Paullina, Iowa, with Rev. R.S. Roesler officiating. The pallbearers were Wilbert Ebel, Gus Appeldora, Leonard Schoof, Clifford Puhrmann, David Pauling and Burdette Ewoldt. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, IA, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Minnie Wittrock Wilson was born on February 6, 1907, at Paullina, Iowa, to Herman and Mamie Jurgensen Wittrock. She attended school in the Hartford, South Dakota, area before returning to Iowa.

On September 21, 1929, she married Oluf Wilson at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Minnie and her husband farmed south of Paullina until he passed away on March 27, 1962, in Cherokee. She then moved to Paullina in the fall of 1962 and was employed at Brockmanns for 16 years before retiring.
She passed away on Wednesday, April 24,1991, at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, reaching the age of 84 years, 2 months and 18 days. Minnie was a member of Siloam Lutheran Church in Paullina and the Paullina Senior Citizens.

Her survivors include her son, Merlin and his wife, Dolowa of Cherokee; a grandson, Con and his wife, Karol of Tempe, Arizona; a granddaughter, Thomine of San Diego, California; and a brother, Russell Wittrock of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; also a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers: Roy, Ralph and Ray Wittrock and three sisters: Meta Pierson, Mavia Westphal and Maggie Eldredge.
