Funeral services were held for Lawrence Henderson, 75, on May 18, 1961, at the Grace Baptist Church, Cherokee, where he was an active member and served as deacon until the time of his death.

Lawrence Henderson, son of Joseph and Martha Henderson was born February 27, 1886, north of Paullina. He lived around Paullina most of his life. Recently he had made his home at Cherokee until his death May 15, 1961.

Preceding him in death were his first wife, Grace, and their son Percy, and his second wife, Florence.

Survivors include the widow, Ermal; three daughters, Mrs. Victor Uhl of Pacific Grove, Calif., Mrs. Douglas Henderson and Louise Henderson of Minneapolis, Minn., five sons, Merritt of Menahga, Minn., Joe of Park Rapids, Minn., Wilson of Greeley, Colo., Francis of Medora, Kansas, and Louis of Paullina; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Miller of Goodell, Iowa and Mrs Roscoe Brown of Paullina; one brother, George of Calumet, three step-daughters; five step-sons; 42 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
