Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Hansen Branco was bom October 18, 1872 In Schlesweig, Holstein, Germany, and died December 17th, 1933. Baptized in infancy in the Lutheran faith when a small child she came to this country with her parents, brothers and sisters. They made their home in Davenport. Ia., and later moved on a farm near Schleswig. Ia.

She was united in marriage to Richard C. Branco in 1892. They made their home in Calumet, Iowa. Three children were born to this union, Ernest, Hilda and Carl. Her husband preceded her in death fourteen years ago.

She leaves to mourn her three children, Ernest, Carl and Mrs Harry Strieker all of Holstein; five grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Charley Drake, of Sheldon, Mrs. Chris Mortens of Sioux City, and Mrs Frank Kuchel of Holstein.

Three brothers, Jochim Hansen of Sioux City, Henry Hansen of Battle Creek, and Christ Hansen of Primghar one sister Mrs. Jochim Slndt and one brother Jurgen Hansen preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Zions Evangelical church with Rev Paul O. Wuebben in charge. Interment was made beside her husband at Liberty township cemetery. This community extends their sympathy to the family in their great bereavement.
