OBITUARY OF H. HATTERMANN

Hermann Hattermann was a native of Hanover, Germany. He was bom April 8, 1865, In the small town of Olste near the city Hoja. At the age of 19 he came to Homewood. Illinois, where he worked four years on a farm. In 1888, then 23 years of age, Mr. Hattermann came to Germantown and began farming for himself.

At this, time he also married Miss Catharine Stege. [sic]From this union came his three sons and two daughters.

In 1914 his first wife died and three years later, 1917, he was married to Mrs. Louisa Hoermann, then a widow, and now a widow the second time. By this marriage he became stepfather to two sons and two daughters.

Mr. Hatterman lived on a farm at Germantown until he retired in 1925 and moved to Paullina. Mr. Hatterman was a member of the Lutheran church and chairman of the local congregation during the last year.

His end came rather unexpectedly after a short illness on Monday at noon. He leaves to mourn his widow, three sons. Hermann, Henry and Emil, two daughters, Mrs. L. Schuknecht and Mrs. V Straub. His stepchildren are Adolf Hoermann and Ernest Hoermann, Mrs. Art Kruse and Mrs. L. J Hagenbucher There are sixteen grand children on both sides and 4 great grandchildren.

He will be buried on Thursday in the Germantown cemetery. Pastors Hartmelstcr and Steger will officiate.
