JOYCE (JO) WESTPHAL

Funeral services were held
on Monday. May 16. 1983 at
1:30pm from the United Methodist
Church in Storm Lake.
Iowa for Joyce Selk Westphal.

Dr. James V. Poulsen was
the officiating clergyman.
Organist Deanna Larson,
accompanied vocalist Sharon
Daniels.

Pall-bearers were: Tom Ball.
Jesse Fastenow, Robert Libolt ,
Ronald Libolt, Rodney Stoner.
and Donald Peters.

Caring for the floral arrangements
were: Jeanette Arndt.
Sherry Evans. Doris Newgard.
and Delores Hogrefe.

Burial was made at the
Oakland Cemetery near
Peterson with the Sliefert
Funeral Home of Storm
Lake in charge of the arrangements.

Joyce Marie Westphal. the
daughter of Elmer and Hesper
Libolt Selk , was born on Mar.
6. 1945 at Hartley, Ia. She
was baptized at the Riverside
Presbyterian Church in Linn
Grove. She graduated in 1962
from the Sioux Valley High
School and went to Minneapolis;
Minn. to x-Ray and lab training.

She was united in marriage
to Marlin Westphal on Aug.
30, 1964. She was a member
of the United Methodist
Church in Storm Lake.

She passed away at the
Buena Vista County Hospital
in Storm Lake on May 13.
1983 at the age of 38 years,
two months and seven days
after a prolonged illness.

Left to cherish her memory
are her three daughters: Angela,
Amy and Andra; her
parents. one brother, Melvin
Selk and his wife Jean; two
sisters: Carole Phelps and
her husband Mahlon, Jolene
and her husband, Paul
Braunschweig;
ten nieces and nephews.
special aunts and uncles
and a host of friends.
