Mrs. Adeline Plopper Dies in Sioux
City, Jan 31st

Mrs. Adeline Plopper passed away
at the St Joseph hospital in Sioux
City on Thursday, January 31st, following
an operation a week previous.
The cause of her death was cancer of
the stomach.

Mrs. Plopper and her
husband were among the very early
settlers in this community, having
homesteaded on a farm live miles
north of Sutherland and resided here
until 1894.

Awaiting the arrival of
some of her children who live in the
west, the body was kept in Sioux City
until today, Thursday, when it was
shipped back to Sutherland and the
funeral services held from the Methodist
church this afternoon.

Interment was made in the
Waterman cemetery.
An obituary will be published
next week.
