Services Held for Ruby Wallin

Services for Ruby O. Wallin were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 4, at the First Presbyterian Church,in Paullina, Iowa with the Rev. Dallas Johnson officiating. Pallbearers were Greg Koehlmoos, Mike Jones, Dennis Petersen, Allyn Koehlmoos, Leonard Wallin and Lynford Pauling. "Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art" were sung by John Ihle with Mrs. Kay Grosvenor at the organ. The final resting place is at the Prairie View Cernetery at Paullina, Iowa. The arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Ruby Opal Wallin, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Sass Jones, was born October 2, 1914, near Washta, la. She moved with her family to the Paullina area as a small child and attended Paullina Schools and graduated from Paullina High School. She then attended Buena Vista College for a year and the University of Iowa at Iowa City for a year. She then taught country schools in O'Brien County for six years.

On June 4, 1938, she was united in marriage to Carl Wallin. After which they farmed 'near Paullina and she also assisted in the implement business. She had been employed as a Nurses Aid at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar for nine years before retiring in 1982. Ruby was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Paullina, the U P.W. of the church and taught Sunday School for many years.

Ruby passed away at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, reaching the age of 69 years, 6 months and 29 days.

Ruby is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Eugene and Judy Wallin and Lyle and Phyllis, all of Paullina; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; also three brothers, Marlin Jones of Marshalltown, Daniel Jones of Sioux City and Allyn Jones of Paullina and one sister, Mrs. Eva Moats of Omaha, also a host of other relatives and friends.
