Funeral services for Iris J. Zeimen were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 7, 1992, at St. Anthony's . Catholic Church in Primghar, Iowa, with Rev. Harry McAlpine officiating.

Bill Thompson served as lector.

The pallbearers were Bill Webb, Arnold Kruse, Darwin Kruse, Joe Stoll, David Kruse and Bill Wagner.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Sutherland, Iowa, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina.

OBITUARY
Iris Justine Zeimen, the daughter of Samuel and Rosa Mayhew DeMars, was born February 3, 1906, in Grant Township, O'Brien County, Iowa. She received her education in O'Brien County rural schools. On April 15, 1939, she was united in marriage to Leo Zeimen. After their marriage the couple lived in Royal and Sutherland areas before coming to Primghar in 1950. Iris continued to make her home in Primghar before entering the Baum-Harmon Hospital and passing away on Thursday, December 3, 1992, reaching the age of 86 years and 10 months.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Primghar, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Baum-Harmon Hospital Auxiliary.

Iris leaves to cherish her memory four sons: Gregory and his wife, Joann Zeimen of Canoga Park, California; Dennis Zeimen of Stillwater, Minnesota; Blaine and his wife, Beverly Zeimen of Pace, Florida and Howard and his wife, Ann Zeimen of Nevada, Iowa; two daughters: Madeleine and her husband Mitch Seivert of Sanborn, Iowa, and Mary Zeimen of Primghar; also 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Gordon Leo Zeimen and Rene LeClair Zeimen; her parents; four brothers and two sisters.
