Funeral services for Ada Roseland Kastman were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 1992, at the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina, Iowa, with Rev. Reuben Tjaden officiating. The pallbearers were Jack Mau, Steve Louscher, Bee Maytum, Don Dawson. Ken Pauling and Merle Ihle. Interment was at Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina.

OBITUARY

Ada Kastman, the daughter of Samuel and Delia Hodgdon Roseland, was born June 30, 1906, in O'Brien County, Iowa. She moved as a child to Paullina and received her elementary and secondary schooling in the Paullina Public Schools. After receiving her teaching certificate at the University of Omaha in 1927, she taught for many years in the Akron, Iowa, elementary school.

She married Art Kastman in Omaha in 1943. In 1946, she and her husband entered into a partnership in the operation of Lange's Cafe in Paullina. After the termination of the partnership, she continued to work at the cafe until her retirement in 1975. She passed away Saturday, December 5,1992, at the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina, reaching the age of 86 years, 5 months and 5 days.

She was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church. Ada leaves to cherish her memory her husband Art of Paullina; one brother George Roseland one sister, Bernice Lange, both of Paullina. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Paul, John and Charles; and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Adams.
