Cecil C. Ahrens Funeral services for Cecil C. Ahrens were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12,1992, at the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina, Iowa, with Rev. Reuben Tjaden officiating. The pallbearers were Herb Stuegelmeier, Mike Francis, Ken Traver, Harlan Hoermann, Rex Williams and Ken Pauling. Interment was at Waterman Cemetery Sutherland, Iowa, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina.

OBITUARY

Cecil Cleo Ahrens, the daughter of William and Pearl Rigdon Berger, was born June 25, 1910, at Casey, Illinois. She moved with her family to the Lake Park, Iowa, area where she received her education. On January 25, 1928, she was united in marriage to Albert Ahrens in Humboldt, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple farmed north of Sutherland for 21 years, later moving to a farm northwest of Paullina where they farmed for 23 years. The couple retired in October of 1971 and moved into Paullina. Albert passed away on December 25, 1984. Cecil remained in Paullina and passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 9, 1992, reaching the age of 82 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Cecil leaves to cherish her memory one son, Burdette. Ahrens of Paullina; one daughter, Darlene Spears; two granddaughters: Lori Francis of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Alea Locket of Spencer, Iowa; one grandson, Kenneth Ahrens of Spencer; four great granddaughters: Elizabeth, Brook and Beckey Francis and Kerri Ahrens; also a host of other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two half sisters.
