Moritz Berensmann (1904-1941)

Moritz Berensmann was born at Dortmand, Germany on February 3rd, 1904 to the parents William and Emilia Berensmann. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Germany. In 1930 he Immigrated to U. S. A. and resided near Calumet. Here he worked on different farms until in 1937 when he moved to Chicago where he has made his home ever since.

Wednesday May 14th he took suddenly seriously ill of Pneumoccocus Menengitis and passed away Thursday May 15th at 2:30 in the afternoon.

The departed leaves to mourn a brother Karl Berensmann of Primghar, his mother Mrs. Emilia Berensmann, a sister Miss Helena Berensmann, and aged grandmother and many other relatives In Dortmand, Germany.

As a token of friendship about 1000 friends supplied an abundance of flowers, and reviewed the remains at Chicago on Monday. The casket was shipped to Paullina, Iowa, where funeral service was heId in Siloam Lutheran Church on Tuesday afternoon, May 20th. Rev Andrew Hogre officiated. The mixed quartet, consisting of Miss Helen Kimblad, Miss Helen Anderson, Art Kimblad and Lester Axdahl sange "Under His Wings" and "Abide with Me." Interment at the Prairie View Cemetery.

The Community expresses their sympathy to the Karl Berensmann's in their bereavement.
