OBITUARY OF MRS. CHAS LANGE

The deceased, Mrs. Emma Lange, was born Sept. 11, 1866, at Addison, Ill. Her maiden name was Kluender. There near Chicago she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church, to which she belonged all her life.

At the age of 20, Dec 12, 1886, she married Louis Lange. Seven children were of this union, five of whom still survive Her husband died on their wedding day [sic anniversary], Dec. 12, 1902.

Ten years later, Sept. 20, 1912, she was married a second time to Charles Lange, her present surviving husband. 1915 they moved to town Paullina and became members of our church.

Mrs. Lange had much sickness and much suffering during her lifetime, from which she was relieved last Tuesday evening, Jan. 16, by a peaceful deliverance. Her age at the time of her death was 73 years, 4 months, and five days.

She leaves to mourn her sorrowing husband, three sons, two daughters, two daughtors-in-law, two sons-in-law, 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Interment was made at the side of her first husband in the Germantown cemetery, Saturday, Jan. 20, 1940, after a funeral service in Zion Lutheran church of Paullina.

Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral services were Mr and Mrs. F Kay, Miss Anna Kay, of. Storm Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mundt, Mrs. Louie Kruse and daughter Luella, of Heron Lake, Minn., Mrs, Fred Eggers, of Chicago; Leonard Lange of Yankton; Mr and Mrs. Burdette Lange, of Cherokee; Mr and Mrs. Qus Appeldorn and family, of Pipestone; Mr and Mrs. Herman Appeldorn, of Pipestone; Mr, and Mrs. Clarence Qriebel of Pipestone.
