Services Held Sept. 29 For Ray Niebuhr

Funeral services for Raymond C Niebuhr were held Mondav afternoon. September 29. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. Mr. Niebuhr passed away September 25 at the Primghar Care Center, reaching the age of 73 years. Rev Donald Johnson officiated at the services. Pallbearers were LeRoy Hoick. Orville Nelson. Jack Mau. Glenn Proehl. Norman Meyer, and Wilmont Pauling Mr and Mrs. Eugene Schuknecht sang "In The Garden" and the congregation sang "How Great Thou Art " Mr. Norwalk Behrens was organist. Mr and Mrs Arnold Hibbing were in charge of flowers. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery near Paullina with Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Homes in charge.

RAYMOND C. NIEBUHR

Raymond C Niebuhr. the son of George and Augusta Swenson Niebuhr. was born June 5. 1907, in Caledonia Twp in O'Brien County. Iowa He was baptized into the Lutheran faith at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown on June 23. 1907, and later confirmed at the same church on April 24. 1921. As a youth he attended country schools and assisted his parents in farming.

He was united in marriage to Ivadell Mews on September 11, 1932. in Paullina. Iowa. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Archer area until 1963 when they retired and moved into Paullina.

He passed away on Thursday, September 25. 1980, at the Primghar Care Center. He reached the age of 73 years. 3 months and 20 days.

Raymond is survived by his wife Ivadell. two daughters-Joanne, Mrs Reg Hain, of Archer and Sherry. Mrs. Fred Schuerkamp of Hawarden—5 grandchildren and two brothers. Walter and Erwin. both of Paullina. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one brother.
