Mabel Daniels

Mabel Gertrude Daniels, the daughter of Ernest and Gertrude (Linnekugel) Richter was born January 24, 1911 in Caledonia Township of O'Brien County, Iowa. She received her education at St. John Lutheran School in Germantown. She was baptized on February 12, 1911 and later confirmed on March 1, 1925 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown.

On March 7, 1937, she was united in marriage to Arthur G. Daniels at St, John Lutheran Church in Germantown. After their marriage the couple engaged in farming for several years before moving to Sheldon. While in Sheldon the couple owned and operated Daniels Motel on Highway 18 in Sheldon for many years. After their retirement the couple moved to be near their son, Dennis in Benson, Minnesota. Her husband preceded her in death on March 24, 1992 in Benson, Minnesota.

Mabel remained in Benson and moved with Dennis to Fargo, North Dakota to make her home.

She passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo, North Dakota, reaching the age of 94 years and 4 months.

Mabel leaves to cherish her memory her son, Dennis and his wife, Sherry Daniels of Fargo, North Dakota; three grandchildren, Todd, Terry and his wife, Dawn; Tami and her husband, Lincoln Boe; 2 great-grandchildren, Avery John Arthur Boe and Jaxson Daniels Boe; also nieces. nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Anna and Verna, twin sister and brother, Ella and Albert in infancy; and two brothers, Ray and Walter.

Services were held Friday, May 27, 2005, at 1: 30 P.M. from St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa, the Rev. Donald Erickson, officiated, and burial was in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Germantown, Iowa. Arrangements are under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina, Iowa.
