A sad death occurred in Sioux City on Tuesday morning when Wm. Tesch, a young Caledonia Township farmer, ten miles southwest of Paullina, passed away. He had been at the German Lutheran Hospital just a week, suffering from gangrenous appendix. Death came a few days following an operation to relieve the trouble.

Mr. Tesch was taken sick a week ago Monday and was removed to the hospital next day. The operation followed at once, but relief was only temporary. Death came at nine o'clock Tuesday morning of this week.

Mr. Tesch was the sone of John Tesch of Paullina. He was an able young man and farmer and his loss is keenly felt by his family. He was 34 years of age and leaves behind a wife and six children.

The body was brought home by way of Marcus on Wednesday and the funeral will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock, followed by services at the Germantown church.
